Draft... This beer rocks!... Crystal clear, copper ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. The aroma & flavor are vineous, chocolatey and earthy (peat). Good balance. Medium to full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Dry, grassy finish. Excellent Scottish ale.

Finally, a beer with soem character. Pours a dark amber color. has a very light caramel taste to it with a bitter, hoppy aftertaste.

Cask Conditioned Ale. Excellent creamy head. Had it at Graydon’s Crossing. Great Malt Character and disguised alcohol content. A brown/amber. The best I’ve had from the Royal Oak Scotts.

A ruby-amber pour with some small white-head and decent lacing. A nice caramel toffee smell. Had a slick feel to this medium bodied beer. Slightly sweet with its roasted malts tasting, and I found a bit of smokeyness as well. A good beer.

On tap at the Dragonmead Brew Pub. Poured a deeper amber color with a smaller sized head. Aromas of caramel, toffee, chocolate, and lighter earthy-peat. Tastes of caramel, peaty, toffee, and all around malty. Alcohol content well hidden.

Amber in color witha a tan/off white head. A sweet berry aroma with hints of alcohol. A honey taste with a bit of a bitter hint. There was also some liquor-like notes. Very taste and easy to drink, almost too easy.

Hand-pull at the brewery. Wonderful toffee notes and deep rich mahogany malt tones. Big body with some hop dressing ... maybe a little too much really for a scotch ale. Nice peppery yeastiness, a well done scotch ale made better from the cask.
