Fruity aroma, mangos especially, with a carmel malt hit as well. Apples and pears with just a touch of mango for th fruity taste and also some carmel and a hint of bitterness. Easy drinking. hopscotch (5531), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

The lightly floral aroma and subtle, malty flavor are a bit nondescript, but that’s fairly consistent with the style. Hints of butterscotch, herbs and white wine. Light-bodied with moderate carbonation. Short, crisp, vineous finish. A subtle, difficult style to master. Dm’s done a pretty nice job. Pailhead (2605), Allen Park, Michigan, USA

You can see the carbonation bubbles in it, and then a white creamy head tha leaves spider lace. Creamy mouthfeel. The aroma is malty. Good bitterness however in the taste and not a bad beer. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 20, 2004 I only have one brew to compare this to and that is Froach. I would definitely go with the Froach if I had a choice. I was excited about trying a locally brewed take on a heather ale, but I found the heather spiciness to be understated here. Dark amber, with a nice white head. Yeasty spiciness in the aroma along with hops (? shouldn't really be there, should it). A well balanced brew, just not what my palate was anticipating. walleye (882), Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA
