Wow, I would have never thought to try this. Not your typical APA, not a typical pale ale for that matter. Pours a nice deep straw color, decent foamy white head. Smells nice and hoppy. Beer has a wonderful, big juicy taste. A while since I've had a fresh beer that was not dry. Lots of oranges with some sweet grapefruit and a nice crisp hops bite. Medium to full body. Has a lightly dry caramel malt that adds a wonderful balance. Again, great texture and good body really make this excellent. Pailhead (2602), Allen Park, Michigan, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 10, 2004 On tap: Aroma is rather weak. Only faint hops. Was at the brewery so outside influences could have interfered with the aroma. Pours a dark amber with a little white head. Rather weak initial taste. Lightly malty but very watery. However great hop finish with lots of citrus. jsquire (2113), St. Marys, Ohio, USA

Foamy off white head. Strong hop nose of grapefruit rind and pine forest. The initial sip is met with a hop burn on the tongue. Apple sauce and orange rind flavors with a long lingering citrus hop finish. This is a good PNW style IPA. scraff (1954), Baltimore, Maryland, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 18, 2005 Sparkling orange, fluffy white head. Nose was quite piney, with hints of white grapefruit, orange zest, and light florals throughout. Taste practically matched aroma. Balance fell more to the hops side and basically was the name of the game here. Only a hint of sweet malt in the background. Light to medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry hoppy finish. A nice drinkable APA to get your hop fix on... JoeM500 (1876), Chicago (little italy), Illinois, USA

Wow, excellent hops in the nose, very fresh and citrusy. Clean first sip and nice full mouthfeel, great balance here!!! Caramelly malts and bountiful hops. Maybe my favorite beer here.
