Clear, very dark, crimson lager with a small, creamy, khaki head. Hickory, campfire smoke aroma. Perfectly balanced flavor with lots of BBQ smoke. Low residual sweetness and light bitterness. Medium-bodied and thin with modest carbonation. flemdawg (484), Naples, Florida, USA Mar 22, 2005 On tap at the brewery. Dark brown color with a firm tan head. Smoked malts aroma but it was very subdued. The smoke was evident in the taste, but again it was subtle. Along with the smoked malts, there was a hint of sweetness that came out in the end. This would be a good starter for someone who has not had any smoked beers. walleye (827), Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA Nov 30, 2004 from the tap at the brewery. poured a deep mahogany. aroma, light smoke, malts, sweet chocolate, pears, apples, malts. flavor, hints of smoke, malts, sweet chocolate, apples and pears, this is the 2nd smoked beer I have had and I liked this one. the mouth fel was a little thin
