Dec 1, 2004 Tap: amber with little head. Light floral hop aroma. Orange zest in flavor with a little hop bite at the end. Not a very good IPA.

Nov 10, 2004 On tap: Hard to pick up an aroma. Light hops. Transparent amber with a minimal white head. Nice lacing. Very weak flavor. Watery. Light citrus hops in the finish is basically are there is to this beer.

Jan 3, 2003 Had to send this one back. Had it in Battle Creek, MI, so maybe it was old beer. In any case, as flavorless an IPA as I have drunk. An unexpected bomb from a great brewery.

Sep 27, 2002 Another strange aroma eminating from the brews at the Dragonmead brewery! However, not unpleasant this time. Wtih a slight whiff there is a sour earthiness in this beer ... an almost palpable aroma that one could plant a whole crop of hops. The color is pretty ... sort of a strawberry blonde. Excellent malt balance for the complex hop nose. There is some lingering acidity at the back of the mouth but it’s wrestling with some residual sweetness. I would drink many of these beers ... and that’s all I can say.
