| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/20 | Jan 3, 2003 Had to send this one back. Had it in Battle Creek, MI, so maybe it was old beer. In any case, as flavorless an IPA as I have drunk. An unexpected bomb from a great brewery. Inveigler (371), Ferndale, Michigan, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 27, 2002 Another strange aroma eminating from the brews at the Dragonmead brewery! However, not unpleasant this time. Wtih a slight whiff there is a sour earthiness in this beer ... an almost palpable aroma that one could plant a whole crop of hops. The color is pretty ... sort of a strawberry blonde. Excellent malt balance for the complex hop nose. There is some lingering acidity at the back of the mouth but it’s wrestling with some residual sweetness. I would drink many of these beers ... and that’s all I can say.
