hopdog (4779), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 5, 2007 Growler filled 2 days prior. Poured a medium and slightly hazy orange color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, floral and light wet grass. Tastes of caramel, bready, and lighter hoppiness. Hops are not as strong as I would prefer for an IPA. thedm (3407), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Mar 21, 2008 First off let me say that I am disapointed by Dragonmeads brews at the present. I have gotten the impression that with the prices of their ingredients going sky high, they have cut back on the quantity of their ingredients in their brews. The end result is much weaker than usual brews. The aromas and flavors all appeared weak IMHO. With that said, on to the rating. This draft brew from the brewery poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a transparent softly carbonated light orange brown colored body and an excellent lacing. The almost non-existant aroma was mild hop. thin semi-flat . The mild flavor contained notes of mild hops. Not one that I would likely buy again. Pailhead (2339), Allen Park, Michigan, USA Nov 10, 2004 On tap: Hard to pick up an aroma. Light hops. Transparent amber with a minimal white head. Nice lacing. Very weak flavor. Watery. Light citrus hops in the finish is basically are there is to this beer. sliffy (1951), Columbus, Ohio, USA May 10, 2006 Bottle thanks to walleye: Dark coper color. Aroma is more malt than hops, carmelly. There is some floral hops. Flavor is very balanced, kinda sweet and a little grassy at the end. Could definitely use a little more of a bite. 11026 (1886), USA May 30, 2004 Would have liked more hops. Must try Big Larry’s on the next visit. About an average IPA.
