I have gotten the impression that with the prices of their ingredients going sky high, they have cut back on the quantity of their ingredients in their brews. The end result is much weaker than usual brews. The aromas and flavors all appeared weak IMHO. With that said, on to the rating. This draft brew from the brewery poured a small sized head of foamy white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a transparent softly carbonated light brown colored body and a poor lacing. The almost non-existant aroma was malty. The smooth mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start mediumly tingly at the finish. The flavor contained notes of malt mild hops mild brown malt and mild nut. A decent one but not one that I would consider buying again. hotstuff (3175), Indiana, USA

Lght in body.Balanced but very thin flavored. Not impressive. walleye (879), Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 12, 2005 Tap. Deep, clear copper-colored beer. Malt dominant aroma with caramel being the main aroma component. Fair malt body, again caramel seems to be the main player, along with weak notes of hop bitterness, just enough to make a dent in the malt presence. Fair and typical amber ale. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Nov 29, 2004 On tap: Weak malt and fruit aroma. Transparent amber with an okay off-white head. Weak malt up front with a weak grapefruit hop finish. Rather bland and watery. Not a whole lot of flavor in this beer. Real light. JoeM500 (1876), Chicago (little italy), Illinois, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Sep 22, 2003 Very red in color and very bland all over. A timid beer for timid drinkers, they even describe this as a beginners beer. Watery mouthfeel, watery finish. Only hints of sweet malt in the middle and a touch of hops at the finish. Boring.
