Commercial Description:
Pale, Dark Crystal and Munich malts are used to give this beer a medium body. We then add Centennial and Willamette hops to create a distinct American Amber Ale. This beer goes down easy and opens the door to a world of micro-brewed beers.

First off let me say that I am disapointed by Dragonmeads brews at the present. I have gotten the impression that with the prices of their ingredients going sky high, they have cut back on the quantity of their ingredients in their brews. The end result is much weaker than usual brews. The aromas and flavors all appeared weak IMHO. With that said, on to the rating. This draft brew from the brewery poured a small sized head of foamy white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a transparent softly carbonated light brown colored body and a poor lacing. The almost non-existant aroma was malty. The smooth mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start mediumly tingly at the finish. The flavor contained notes of malt mild hops mild brown malt and mild nut. A decent one but not one that I would consider buying again.

Draft at Dragonmead.Very small head that quickly dissipated, no lacing, transparent, no carbonation observed, and an orange hue. Nose was malt, lightly hoppy, sweet and hint of caramel.Flavor mimicked the nose and was watery and thin.Smooth, watery and thin mouthfeel. Lght in body.Balanced but very thin flavored. Not impressive.

Tap. Deep, clear copper-colored beer. Malt dominant aroma with caramel being the main aroma component. Fair malt body, again caramel seems to be the main player, along with weak notes of hop bitterness, just enough to make a dent in the malt presence. Fair and typical amber ale.

On tap: Weak malt and fruit aroma. Transparent amber with an okay off-white head. Weak malt up front with a weak grapefruit hop finish. Rather bland and watery. Not a whole lot of flavor in this beer. Real light.
