Pours a clear rust orange with very small tan head, and there is a lot of carbonation accumulated on the glass. Some nice hop notes in the nose, including floral, and bitter. There is also a presence of Carmel malt. The beer is fairly light bodied with nice bitterness throughout. There is some pretty heavily roasted malt tastes, that seem a little out of place. It’s enjoyable. GeneralGao (3057), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 3, 2009 Bottle. Poured a hazy dark orange color. The head was thick, creamy, and off white with a tan tint. Some lace was left behind on the glass. Attractive aroma of mango, pineapple, and caramel. Medium bodied and sweet with caramel, subdued pine, and some mango/orange. Smooth mouth feel with carbonation on the lower end of the spectrum and minimal bitterness. jvmiller (532), Bel Air, Maryland, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 25, 2009 Bottle. Aroma of piney/floral hops. Pours a dark orange with a finger head. Taste is interesting mix of Caramel, pine and apples. Finish is respectably bitter. I would think this would rate a bit higher than it does. Not bad. dmschefke (371), Eastpointe, Michigan, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jan 26, 2009 Bottle pours dark red color with off white head. Aroma is alcohol and some citrus. There is some malt there, too, so this is an aged bottle. Flavor is more alchohol, slight malt caramel flavor and guava. Very interesting. Medium mouthfeel. Overall an ok brew. jgb9348 (2504), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jan 17, 2009 Deep dark, ruby-tinted copper coloured body with a thinnish tan head that fades fairly quickly. Aroma of fresh english and pacific northwest hops with a full scent of pine and caramel. Medium to Full-bodied; Sharp bitterness hits first with a mouthful of pine and bitter hops. Aftertaste shows a bit more class, with caramel, malt and nuts in the palate. Overall, a very strong and up-front IPA, leaving nothing left to be imagined. Worth trying if you can find it! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Merchant’s in Dearborn, Michigan on the Eastern Shore of Virginia on 14 July, 2006
