dmschefke (371), Eastpointe, Michigan, USA Mar 8, 2009 On tap at Dragonmead. Pours a nice dark brown with large foamy head. Aroma is not strong, but is evident with chocolate and fresh nuts. Taste is exactly what it aimed for, mild. nefarious (202), Clarkston, Michigan, USA Feb 7, 2009 On tap at the brewery. This was very interesting. Dark brown pour with a big fluffy head and not much of an aroma. The flavor is slightly watery and a hint of nuttiness. The would be the ultimate session beer! This would be huge if it were bottled hopdog (5526), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 3, 2009 On tap at the Dragonmead Brew Pub. Poured a medium amber color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of some chocolate and lightly roasty. Tastes of chocolate, nutty, and lighter caramel. Not bad for a mild ale... walleye (876), Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA Mar 26, 2005 from the brewery. pour a nice mahogany with a tan head. finally a beer that has some aroma and flavor to it from this brewery. aroma malts, chocolate, hops, the flavors were nicely balanced, got malts and hops, caramels and chcolate, this is one I could have a few of. ClarkVV (3578), Allston, Massachusetts, USA Jul 10, 2004 2004 hand pump. Looks wonderful for a mild, chocolate brown with some bright red tinges peeking through and a good light tan head. Smells clean and lightly chocolatey/nutty with a hint of soily hops. Flavor is very light and mild (surprise!). I feel like I’m working in a mine in England and drinking this stuff on my lunch break, per tradition. It sure does taste authentic. Clean, light nuttiness and fruitiness. Light bodied, watery but true to style.
