Commercial Description:
An Irish style red (amber) beer. Light in finish but bold in taste. Melanoidin malt is added for the red color and the spicy finish comes through from the Chinook hops.

Upon looks its riveting. A full head with a encandescent viking red. A light aroma to match its light taste. Does not live up to this ruthless man it would need far gretaer hops and content with a lot less morals. I have yet to find my match with the infamous dragonmead.

Draft at Dragonmead.Small head that mostly diminished, fair amount of lacing, transparent, no carbonation observed, and a red hue. The nose was malty and subtle hoppiness. Not much there. The flavor was malty, light in hoppiness and a hint of spice.Smooth, watery, thin mouthfeel. Light in body. Quaffable, roasty aftertaste, but I did not like the finish as it was very thin and waterdown. Not true to style IMO.

Bottle: Pours amber with a small frothy head. Aroma of malt and caramel. Flavor same as aroma. Not bad.

This ale poured a nice dark copper colour with a qiuckly disappearing head. To the nose there was scents of hops, sour grapes/citric acid and sweet malt. First sip was nice and alot less bitter than I expected due to the hopps in the nose. Very floral flavour with a hoppy finish and the palate was bitter sweet with the floral/hopp flavour lasting. Better than expected.

Wasn’t too impressed with this one, half the reason might be that im not a big amber fan. Nice deep red color and aroma however. Also liked the hops in it.

Bottle: Pours a rusty copper color with a light tan head. Aroma, caramel, grains, earthy hops. Flavor, caramel, earthy, some spicy notes. Smooth creamy texture, a soft earthy bitterness on the finish. Solid brew.

Clearish fiery orange body, thick cream head. Sweet cerealy, toasty aroma with caramels, grassy hops, and earthy esters. Sweet body with sugared Cheerios, toast, caramel, and brown sugar, backed by grassy, bitter hops. Very nice, with a strong flavor profile and smooth, creamy mouthfeel.

this is pretty much an extra-expensive Killians that is infected with diacetyl....someone mentioned a "buttery smell"...yeah, that diacetyl and it moves to the mouth...reddish orange body with no head...syrupy sweet body with big buttery popcorn...ditto on the flavor...
