Commercial Description:
An Irish style red (amber) beer. Light in finish but bold in taste. Melanoidin malt is added for the red color and the spicy finish comes through from the Chinook hops.

Bottle… Clear copper ale with little to no head. The aromatics are malt-forward – light caramel and plenty of toffee. Medium to full-bodied with gentle carbonation. The sweet, malty flavor reflects the aroma with rich essences of caramel and toffee. Pleasant, lightly sweet finish. Kudos to daknole for providing the bottle!

Bottle from Belo Vino. Pours reddish/brown color with a moderate frothy white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Medium roasted sweet malty aroma. Medium body. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.

Hazy, rusty (not green) dark copper with a light khaki head. The aroma is medicinal with some biscuit. There is also a little bit of cherries. The taste has some light notes of fresh bread and dark cherries. Fairly malty and sweet, this is easy to drink.

2004 draught. Supposedly, you are supposed to drink this one first on an empty palate and you really get a layered taste effect and can pick out the hops quite well. I didnt have this one first though so it didnt work. The beer also didn’t taste good. Watery death, that’s about all I have to say about this one. It’s reddish-amber, clear, barely any aroma. Extra light bodied. No one I was with enjoyed this one.

Draft at Dragonmead.Small head that mostly diminished, fair amount of lacing, transparent, no carbonation observed, and a red hue. The nose was malty and subtle hoppiness. Not much there. The flavor was malty, light in hoppiness and a hint of spice.Smooth, watery, thin mouthfeel. Light in body. Quaffable, roasty aftertaste, but I did not like the finish as it was very thin and waterdown. Not true to style IMO.

Wow this was pretty bad. First of all it was flat as an 8 yr old. And the aroma was grainy and stank. Flavor was even worse. Puke.

Clearish fiery orange body, thick cream head. Sweet cerealy, toasty aroma with caramels, grassy hops, and earthy esters. Sweet body with sugared Cheerios, toast, caramel, and brown sugar, backed by grassy, bitter hops. Very nice, with a strong flavor profile and smooth, creamy mouthfeel.

Bottle: Pours a rusty copper color with a light tan head. Aroma, caramel, grains, earthy hops. Flavor, caramel, earthy, some spicy notes. Smooth creamy texture, a soft earthy bitterness on the finish. Solid brew.
