Had this while having ribs and it complimented the meal quite nicely. Jfishback13 (271), Royal Oak, Michigan, USA

Unlike most local reds, this beer actually has a kick to it. Nice malt and hops flavor on this one. jeremyd365 (109), Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA

It really didn’t have much smell to it at all, so I was especially surprised with the flavor of this one’s! It had a pretty strong flavor with a very sweet finish which I believe was honey. It was a very drinkable beer which I will want to definitely try again. Aggie80 (709), Michigan, USA

Looked very appealing in the glass and was well worth sipping down with my ribs and chicken. Liked it! Silphium (2152), Haslett, Michigan, USA

Sweet cerealy, toasty aroma with caramels, grassy hops, and earthy esters. Sweet body with sugared Cheerios, toast, caramel, and brown sugar, backed by grassy, bitter hops. Very nice, with a strong flavor profile and smooth, creamy mouthfeel. Tessic (478), Brantford, Ontario, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 30, 2007 This ale poured a nice dark copper colour with a qiuckly disappearing head. To the nose there was scents of hops, sour grapes/citric acid and sweet malt. First sip was nice and alot less bitter than I expected due to the hopps in the nose. Very floral flavour with a hoppy finish and the palate was bitter sweet with the floral/hopp flavour lasting. Better than expected. UnsofistaCat (222), Garden City, Michigan, USA
