Hazy golden color with a thin head. Aroma is primarily lemon. Hefe flavors are easy to spot but some plum notes as well. Honey also. This was my first beer sampled there and that was probably a mistake. The alcohol content is significant. Mouth feel is creamy and effervescent. A very nice beer! argo0 (7011), Washington DC, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 3, 2007 (12oz bottle) Large off-white head atop hazy amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, banana, bubblegum/cane sugar, alcohol, light clove. Taste is sweet, banana liqueur, bubblegum, light sourness. Smooth medium-full body. Too boozy for a tripel, and misses the style’s dryness in the finish, but nonetheless a pleasant beer. SpudClampDawg (1027), Jasper, Indiana, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 19, 2007 12 oz. bottle: Deep golden pour with a sustained, sticky head. The nose is loaded with doughy malt, with yeasty hints of bubble gum, banana peel and sweet fruit. Medium body with little notice of the high ABV. The breadiness persists through the body, with additional notes of butterscotch and white sugar sweetening things up. Esthery peach and orange add a nice dimension as well. This is a good example, that just is a bit clunky and sweet but interesting none-the-less. sneagrams3 (1762), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 13, 2007 The Dan Journal #76. Tasted 4/5/2007. 12oz bottle. Slightly sedimented. Golden hue. Clining white layered head. Strong caramel and banana yeast nose. Citrus and perfumy aromas. Crisp bright and lively. Peppery effervescence. Bitter acidic middle, then extinguished by the perfumy yeast mellow finish. Good trip. ryan (1781), Beltsville, Maryland, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 27, 2007 Bottle. Appearance is a dirty strawish gold color with lots of haze and a fairly large fluffy head that has died down after a couple of minutes waiting for Microsoft to get its act together and let me on to the site here. In the meantime I’ve been enjoying subtle aromas of banana cloves and yeast with an underlying sugary sweetness. First impression is that the flavor is OK. I’m not doing cartwheels, but I’m not making funny faces either. There is a bit of a tart quality that I didn’t see coming. Other than that, the alcohol is definitely present, but not too obnoxious. The sweet sugars and clove flavorings are all there. Sadly this just doesn’t finish out quite as nicely as I would have liked. I’ts not bad, but neither is it great. rsistare (9), Troy, Michigan, USA does not count | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 26, 2007 An excellent Detroit brew. For a local trippel, I am very impressed. The alcohol is a littple forward, but overall, an excellent example jvmiller (532), Bel Air, Maryland, USA
