Commercial Description:
This is the ultimate Belgian style. The very high gravity of this beer is balanced by the smoothness of its finish. Banana and Clove aromas come from the Belgian yeast strain combining with the generous dose of Belgian Candi Sugar. The Saaz hops help to give this beer a balanced bitterness with no noticeable hop aroma.

Courtesy boboski. Pours a cloudy orange, with a thick, foamy white head. Smells of orange, coriander, and other spices. A little funky. Smells like a typical triple, just a touch of some cinnamon. Taste is pretty full flavored, very spicy, with a nice bite to it. Big coriander and orange flavor, with various other spices as well. A little brown sugar or cinnamon in the finish. Kind of sweet, with alot going on in this beer. Pretty good.

Snow white head, tall and slow to recede. Clear, vibrant light orange body with overtones of gold and amber. Appears sticky, lacing sliding back into the glass with the slightest swirl. Aroma is typical Belgian/American cross-interpretation. Yeasty notes bode well with ample doses of candy sugar and grains alike. Fresh apples and minty spices are noted. Alcohol is evident, though unintrusive. Flavor is well balanced, moderately to nearing heavily sweet, grainy and pleasant. Sweetness accelerates near the finish. The post-taste is of cereal graininess and sugary residuals. Heavy carbonation keeps a medium bodied mouthfeel very lively and prevents this from seeming overly uninteresting. Decent.

Courtesy of kenb. Pours copper with a huge white head. Smells of cumin, cloves, spices and some pils touches. Tastes of sweet malt with lots of spices. Mouthfeel is oily with a spicy finish.

great aromas coming off this one, the flavor is decent but could have been better. comes a little strong off the bat, there just seems to be something missing or out of balance.

Bottle. Clear straw color, light white head. Apple juice aroma with a suggestion of spice. Sweet, crisp taste with a dry finish. Well-carbonated. I would’ve liked a greater yeast component to the taste. Overall, the taste is pretty simple, even for a style that doesn’t usually exhibit too much complexity.

Bottle shared by bgburdman. Gold pour with a white head. Aroma of yeast, mint, banana...a bit of candied fruit. Flavors of banana and yeast seemed to dominate...spicy and sweet with lively carbonation though a bit heavy.

Served a bit too cold at first so I let it sit and warm a tad. Poured a tangerine gold color. Essentially flat except for a slight scuzz on top. Lots of really, tiny yeasty floaties. Nose malty with a slight hint of citrus. Flavor is quite nice. More malty sweet than candy sweet, except for a lemon candy thing goin on. Also, am I picking up what (both in the flavor and texture)? Lots of citrus, especially as the beer warms--both citrus and orange. Medium to full mouth that wantsw to be sticky. Not sure what, but there is something missing to really puch this beer’s score up.

The first time I had this it was far too banana-flavory. But I liked it. The second time it was similar to that, but must have been an old bottle. Tasted sour. Smooth, sweet, bitter, fresh banana cereal flavor / aroma.
