Commercial Description:
This is the ultimate Belgian style. The very high gravity of this beer is balanced by the smoothness of its finish. Banana and Clove aromas come from the Belgian yeast strain combining with the generous dose of Belgian Candi Sugar. The Saaz hops help to give this beer a balanced bitterness with no noticeable hop aroma.

Tap at brewpub. Poured a ever so slightly hazy golden color, with hardly any head to speak of. Aroma was weak, malt, yeast, floral, some fruit. Taste is sligtly spicy, some citrus, floral, yeast. Palate was medium, hardly any carbonation. Disappointed, I felt this showed very little or hardly discernable, characteristics I would associate with a solid tripel.

pours clear yellowish orange avg sized fzzy head. Aroma is lightly malty, moderatly hoppy, perfume and lightly doughy, bubble gum. Flavor is moderatly bitter and finishes even more so. light to medium body watery and oily. Over all nice, but too bitter for style.

Bottle from Bello Vino in Ann Arbor. Clear golden-orange with a foamy white head that disappears quickly. Nice aroma - sweet, spicey, slightly medicinal. Flavour is quite sweet as well, with notes of honey and sugar, moving into a slightly yeasty middle, and a warm finish with bitter clove notes. Very nice stuff.

This beer got a make over at Dragonmead. It use to be amber color, now its more of a golden color. A little bit milder than before. Still a solid beer.

Golden yellow body with a thin white head. Musky orange aroma with a light yeast accent. Cool and spicey body, citrus with some lemon. Sweet and smooth ending.
