El_Borracho (472), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jan 9, 2007 Bottle. Pours a hazy orange/copper. Dominated by fruity esters and some solid spicy background notes. A solid triple.
Ughsmash (2958), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Aug 12, 2008 Tap at GTMW. Poured clear bright golden with a tall, creamy cap of white head. The aroma picked up white pepper and cloves initially with sweet bananas and bubblegum supporting.. eventually became a bit too sweet for my liking considering the style. The flavor had more bubblegum and lesser banana on the candied core.. nice dry yeasty impression cut the sweetness with peppery spices, but it was still very sweet overall. Medium-plus bodied, and I wish it was drier with more character from the yeast.. still solid. jeffwilliams11 (251), hooterville, Michigan, USA Aug 3, 2008 tap at hopcat.
pour is bright yellow with thinish white head. never would have guessed at 10%. went down far too easily. mild banana, clove and pepper flavor. nice mouthfeel, not too carbonated like most belgain styles. Rciesla (712), Brick City, New Jersey, USA Jul 8, 2008 Bottle. Art is better then the beer. Golden body with a a white head. Esters fruit, some pepper spicy yeast sweet candy apple, but unbalanced bitterness and some poorly blended etoh. eh. Linus_Stick (1510), Moon Township, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 6, 2008 A very well done tripel. Aroma was huge. Strong yeast and light fruit. Pour was a cloudy hazy gold with a one finger white head and a hint of sediment floating around. Taste was very full and big. Strong apple, pear and fruit cocktail with a thick apricot and yeast aftertaste. Nice carbonation and pretty easy to drink for 10%. BellsFan (21), Michigan, USA Jun 10, 2008 A deep golden pour with a decent size head. Typical Belgian ale. Lots of different flavors coming at you one after another. One of the better trippels I’ve had. Give it a try!
