Tap: Dark brown/chocolate with small head and some lacing. Scent of fruits and clove, burnt malts and banana. Amazingly sweet for such a dark beer, goes down smooth.

Small, nitro-like head, thin body, not very dark. Little aroma. The honey and the thinness strike you first.. THe honey stands out here, replacing the roastiness of the porter. An interesting experiment that I might like better if I didn’t like normal porters so much.

Dark dark red with a tan head. Coffee and malts in the aroma. Coffee tastes along with honey, and malts and a nice kick of alcohol.

On tap at Dragonmead Brewery. Appearance was a small sized head that fully diminished. Body was opaque with a almost black hue. The aroma was roasted coffee and the taste was malty and coffee that left a lingering aftertaste of coffee. The mouthfeel was smooth and this was a medium bodied porter.

This draft brew from the brewery poured a medium sized head of fine to large sized mostly lasting brown colored bubbles that left behind a fair lacing. The body was opaque and dark ruby red brown colored with no hop of seeing any carbonation in it. The aroma was nice with malt and molasses notes. The palate was tingly biting and malty. The flavor was vinuous with notes of malt and molasses.
