| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 3, 2007 Draft... Way dark, opaque, burnt orange ale with a large, brown head. Subtle aromas of vanilla and cocoa. Just a touch of acetaldehyde in the flavor, but mostly chocolaty and mildly bitter. Full-bodied and ultra-silky with barely noticeable carbonation. Bitter, chocolaty finish... dries out. thedm (3836), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 19, 2008 Aroma is sugary sweet with roasted malt and caramel notes. Black hue with a good looking tan head. Flavor has notes of roasted coffee, chocolate but also an off metal taste. Medium to full bodied and soft. A bit of a cloying feel. Almost there but what happens near the finish kills it.
