| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Nov 22, 2004 On tap at the brewery. Pretty golden color with a thin off white head. Fresh floral citrus hops. This is a hop dominated beer with lots of citrus/grapefruit taste with some apricot and peach thrown in. Very well balanced for such a hopped beer. Not much initial taste but great hop finish. Not very impressed with Dragonmead’s IPA’s. Just not enough taste up front to rate higher. 11026 (1799), Alabama, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 5, 2003 Pours the usual, amber with some lighter golden hues, and a small head. Smells only mildly hoppy, not much else. Starts out slightly hoppy with a twang of bitterness, but some very sweet malt, maybe too sweet for this style, comes in to play. Body holds up though, decent medium body and ends on a slightly bitter note. As it warms, there is a true hops flavor comes through, with a soft creamy texture. Good, but fairly laid back. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 12, 2003 On tap at Griffin Grill & Pub, Battle Creek. Severd in a chilled glass from an 80/20 Nitro/CO2 system. Medium-bodied, looks a wonderfully laced dark golds in the glass. Aroma is fresh but remarkably weak - I thought it had a touch of Centennial (or other West Coast) hop action but I guess not. Very little malt sweetness in the nose. Fairly balanced sweetness in the flavor with just great bittering.
