Aroma is quite fruity (lemon, apricot, faint banana) - especially considering it was made with a lager yeast. There were also some faint husky notes. Light body. Smooth underlying maltiness at first - pity this didn't carry through to the finish, where it would really have done some good. The finish did have a hint of hallertau. Good attempt, though, considering there were a couple of deviations from tradition. hopdog (5630), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

Lighter all the way around. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 30, 2005 Sampled at the Michigan Brewers Fest. Unfiltered pale solid gold, with a lasting touch of head and hints of lace even in the crappy plastic tasting "glass"....grassy nose with hints of vanilla and nice Munich malts...solid, well-balanced blend of well-mashed malt, grassy herbal bitterness with the hops slightly pronounced at the finish. Quite solid. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Light-medium body with moderate carbonation. Sampled at the Michigan Brewers Guild Summer Beer Festival 2005.
