Aug 22, 2003 This beer just screams "summer". Pours out to a bright color resembling a light orange mixed with some yellow highlights. Nose is that of fresh grains and spices. Taste shows signs of clove and banana. All in all, a very refreshing beer. This could be a great session beer on a warm day.

Nov 26, 2003 Nice clear yellow color with a resaonable head and some lacing. Enticing aroma. Wow! Very nice with a refreshing fruity/cherry type aftertaste.

Jun 9, 2007 Cloudy, pale body with white head. The aroma is dough, light citrus and floral. The flavor is fairly dry, floral, bread and biscuity malts. Medium/light body is moderately carbonated with a bitter, citrusy end. Nice.

Jul 30, 2005 Sampled at the Michigan Brewers Fest. Unfiltered pale solid gold, with a lasting touch of head and hints of lace even in the crappy plastic tasting "glass"....grassy nose with hints of vanilla and nice Munich malts...solid, well-balanced blend of well-mashed malt, grassy herbal bitterness with the hops slightly pronounced at the finish. Quite solid.

Mar 15, 2009 On tap at Dragonmead 3-13-09. Pale yellow color with some lacing. Smells of corn, grain malt, and grass. Tastes like light corn, hay, grain, grassy hop finish. Very nice body.

Jul 28, 2003 MIBG Fest: Pale and slightly hazy orange-gold colour. Aroma is fresh, fruity and malty. Body is light and crisp. Flavour is pleasant, with malt notes of the top and hints of citrus in the finish.

Aug 4, 2004 Draft. Very pale yellow color. Damn near clear. Minimal head. Aroma is fruitish, apples are brought to mind. Very light beer. Would make a session brew.

Aug 11, 2003 Decided to follow in Oakes' footsteps and sample this as my first brew at the 2003 Great Taste of the Midwest last weekend. Cloudy yellow in appearance; good carbonation. Huge head. Basic lager aroma. Not served very cold. Good lace. Somewhat complex in flavor, but nothing overly special.
