Commercial Description:
A 15th anniversary recipe needs to be unique since so few breweries make it to their 15th year. For this recipe our head brewer Rodger Davis decided to throw out the style guidelines and create his own style. So he fused the finist ingredients, his relentless passion for good beer and topped it off with a bit of creativity. The beer is then aged in a bourbon barrel for 10 months creating a beer that is worthy of drinking for future anniversaries.

6 oz bottle sampled from drewbeerme. You’d think you couldn’t split a 6 oz bottle, but really 3 oz was enough for me. Orange brown in color with no head. The aroma is very hot. Bourbon, red fruits, and lots of rasins. Medium bodied. Rasins, dark red fruits, brown sugar, creamy and sweet. This finishes really hot with the flavor of raisins sticking around for awhile. Whew 3 oz is definitely enough.

6oz bottle. thanks to tever for this extra! nose smells like bourbon and not really the beer aged in bourbon, just bourbon, alcohol really coming through in the nose, perhaps some raisons too. pours murky brown with no head. flavor starts off with some soft dark fruits, vanilla, licorice, but alcohol burns on the way down. this taste a lot like bourbon and is really hot. i split this bottle with holdenn and 3 ounces is the perfect amount. too much bourbon but it gets better as you get used to it. i think i make the same face after i drink this as i do when i drink bourbon.

Thanks to my Drakes connection--Stoutlover for this one. The pour is murky, dark brown with almost no head. The aroma is of alcohol, sherry, cherries, raisins, and bourbon--very complex aroma. The palate is complex as well and reveals lots of oak and whiskey flavors. The beer is definitley vinuous and sports some fruit hints. Very interesting and complex brew.

Lightly hazed brown color, with just a hint of copper when held to the light. Smaller, small bubbled light tan head. Dry oak and malt flavors with a noble hops backdrop. Light chocolate and caramel also seem to be drifting about in the nose. Thick and chewy, as expected. Light vanilla bourbon float by with honey and caramel malts. Some maple and hearty apple flavors in the middle. This is no euro strong, but I’m not sure where I would put this one. Certainly an interesting brew. For some reasons, I just can’t see this one being a brew that I would set down and relax with. Not enough depth to last through either a novel or cigar.

Bottle. Pours absolutely still. Dark brown color. Woody, bourbon aromas with some sharp fruity notes. Thin mouth feel. Bourbon, caramel, tobacco, must and oak flavors. Cinnamon and bubble gum finish.

Thanks to droopy49 for sending this rare gem! Pours clear medium brown with virtually no head. Caramel and coffee with lots of bourbon in the aroma. Moderately sweet start to finish almost a thinned down English Barleywine.

Thanks to Springslicker for the chance to sample this little nugget. A dark copper almost broun pour with no head. An aroma of bourbon and very sweet malt. A beer very much unlike a lager. A flavor of BAboubon and a hint of coffee? Plenty of alcohol comes through but this beer carries it off pretty well. Very little carbonation whis is a plus for me
