| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 30, 2007 Bottle: Deep burnt caramel, basically brown with some red hues, supa-large light beige head, fairly nice lacing, small chunks of sediment float about.   Rich malty nose, some biscuit, brown sugar, molasses, honey, citrus zest, and even a bit barnish.   Thick malty backbone, caramel like malts, citrus peel, slightly viscous, with a soft bitterness on the backend.   Alcohol is slightly noticeable, but moreso in its warming rather than the tongue biting pain that you can get with an 11% brew. &bnsp Full to moderate body and mouthfeel.   Fairly clean finish, warming, VERY warming, with lingering cocoa infused citrus rind.   Very interesting Lager, but one that I wouldn’t hesitate to have again!
