Commercial Description:
We think you will enjoy this beer. For our 15th Anniversary beer we decided to throw the "style guideline" books out the window and create our own style. We set out to create something that would be strong enough and complex enough to age for all future anniversaries. We think we have accomplished that with this brew. We infused the finest ingredients available to us with our relentless passion for brewing good beer and topped it off with a little bit of creativity. We combined 2-row malt with Munich malt, Caramel malt and a touch of Chocolate malt for color. From there we added Noble hops imported from Germany to give the beer its bitterness and hop aroma. We then fermented it with a Lager yeast strain at 50*F for five weeks. After that it was allowed to lager for another four months to round out the flavors. What we ended up with is a beer that weighs in at a hefty 11% ABV with 25 IBU's and a nice ruby amber color."

1L bottle of my favorite style from BeerGuy101! A huge thanks Mitch!!! Nose of caramel malt, some yeast, and a dark fruit note; Slighty hazy rust color with a medium beige head; Taste heavy with caramel malt, some lagerish grainy notes, and light raisiny accents; nice syrupy body and light alcohol finish. Too bad I’ll probably never get another bottle!!!

I did enjoy this beer. Like almost nothing I’ve ever had ... or will again, alas. Earthy, almost musty aromas, with a hint of roastiness -- or is that caramel. Smooth, grassy hop aromas are very inviting. Amberish in color. Very smooth drinking and astounding given the alcohol content. Warming, but only after one finishes and realizes, "wow, I feel that now". Very smooth with a slightly lingering, almost chocolatey finish.

Draft. Rich ruby-amber beer with no head. Big fruity aroma (berry) with some malt. Berry (cherry/strawberry) flavor with malts and some alcohol. Rich and delicious. Easy to drink, full bodied. There’s a lot going on and this shows a lot of depth and complexity.

Sampled out of a growlerette from the brewery. Cloudy amber with little head. Aroma was spruce, malt and pine. Flavor was malt, malt, and malt. Alcohol is very present in the finish. I loved this beer. Re Rate- Bottled. Dark copper color. Sweet, malty aroma. Sweet, fruit, chocolate, toffee and caramel flavors. Zingy acohol mouthfeel.

Rating #1 Tap @ Toronado (6 4 7 4 16). A brown mahogany coor with a laced tan head. The big board had this listed as a pilsner and the bartender paused when he saw the dark color coming from the tap. Some licorice and medicinal cherry flavors. Light bodied and smooth. Well endowed in flavor for the style. I had no idea the abv was this high. Rating #2 Bottle (9 4 8 4 17). A ruby brown color with a light tan head. An intense aroma that reminded me of a quadruple ale instead of a lager. There were notes of cherry, wood, molassas and vanilla. The alcohol is present in every sip with a light burning feeling at the finish, yet it is well rounded and appropriate for this beer. Rich and full bodied, with chocolate compliments in the flavor.

Big ass bottle took me 2 whole days to drink. Beautiful cloudy amber color with frothy tan head. Lively carbonation. Fruity caramel nose. The flavor was rich, sweet, chewy, and nicely hopped. Nice light roasted finish.

This is a LAGER folks . Only a brewer would appresiate the amazing art involved in this beer.Th alcohol is well hidden yes it is noticeable but not 11% worth. Great complexity.Candy flavors with some sweetness but nowhere near cloying. gentle pillowy soft mouthfeel, somwhat hazelnut and vanilla creme. Like a good vanilla nougat with molasses and madeira notes. Amzing beer have this by itself not after strong ales you will miss the subtle beauty of this beer. A true gentl giant.

Bottle courtesy of MrDick. Pours dark mahogany with tan head. Very fruity aroma, apple, and lots of tropical fruit. Flavor has all the fruit with some caramel malt and yeastiness. Kind of a wierd style, strong ale/ barley wine IMO. Scores don’t really indicate how much I enjoyed this brew, just hard to score individual categories any higher.
