Commercial Description:
Our flagship amber ale is brewed with English malt, hops and yeast. The extra malt lends a lightly toasted, chocolate flavor, a tawny color, and a smooth, rich character; it's perfect for sipping one or enjoying many.

Clear amber color with an offwhite head that retains very well and leaves good lacing. Smell is fairly hoppy; pine and some caramel notes come through. Taste begins a little grassy from the hops, but then gives you more toasty caramel flavors with some pine sap at the finish. Fairly high carbonation with a medium body, fairly slick on the tongue. I got this in a trade a little while back, so maybe it was a little old, but either way, this was a pretty decent beer.

Aroma is grassy hops, caramel, toffee, and a little bit of roastiness. Complex aroma for an amber. Pours a hazy dark amber with nice head retention throughout the life of the beer. Flavor is nice mild bitter grassy hops, caramel, and some nice roast sweetness. This is a surprisingly complex amber ale. It finishes with a little citrus and a pleasant sweetness.

Bottled (5.9%) (thanks Stoutlover72). Hazy reddish brown colour with mediumsized creamy, thick, beige head. Aroma is malty as very as very sweet fruity. Flavour is surprisingy dry malty and toasted, also the fruity hops comes along making this a wellbalanced beer. Strong lemony notes in the aftertaste along with slight roast.

Bottle courtesy of the very generous aspidites! Thanks Mike! Poured a nice amber color with a beautiful creamy head. Smelled like malts and apples. Taste was sweet malts, citrus, and caramel. I enjoyed this one. Very drinkable.

Slightly floral, citrus nose, a little lemon. Hops in the flavor are prevalent but there is a decent chocolatiness that is pretty nice. A little hard to put down, but a well balanced beer.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear deep amber colored body under a fizzy and fluffy beige head that left lots of sticky lacing. Nice lightly sweet smelling toasted malt nose with some light floral hops and a touch of toffee. The flavor is dry toasted and slightly nutty malt with a light hoppy finish. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with a slightly grainy finish and moderate fizzy carbonation. All around, a pretty nice beer. Alot of character and flavor for a typically boring style.

Bottle. Reddish amber colour with a little white head. Sweet malty aroma with notes of caramel and some toffee. Flavour of malt and caramel, that ends up little bitter and with notes of hops, chocolate and fruity, very nice and lightful.

On tap @ Drakes poured a clear dark amber with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of carmel and light fruitiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of carmel, bread and light fruitiness with a crisp lightly bitter finish.
