12 oz bottle. Dark amber with a putty head and speckles of lace. Toasty nose gives way to a light dusty orange. Bitter lemon and citrus hops. A little caramel stop before resiny drying. Good bite for an amber. Light carb, body a bit thin.

pours brownish amber with good tan head - nice lace and retention. very nice nose of dusty cocoa and light refined hoppiness, w/some underlying caramel. creamy malt sweetness is touched by a bit of roast bite and herbaceaous hoppiness. good balance/easy drinker.

Bottle. Courtesy of stoutlover72. Thanks Garrett! Cloudy amber pour. Small fizzy tan head that recedes rather quickly. Nose is caramel, sweet malts, light citrus hops, and cocoa. Taste is malty and somewhat sweet but has a nice hop balance to it. Some light cocoa, caramel, hints of pine and light citrus notes. Body is creamy and smooth. Medium overall feel and a pleasant carbonation tingle. Finishes with more caramel, sweet malts, citrus notes and light cocoa. Really nice beer! Great session style beer!

12 oz. bottle- color of light mahogany , with a medium white head - nose of balanced malts and hopps , coco , red fruit , and toasted wood – taste of spruce , red fruit mostly red cherries , earth , that is balanced malts and hopps - body dirty , but crisp – aftertaste of bright red fruit and hops

Bottle from Winter Brews gift pack: Sweet malty aroma with some nuttiness and caramel. Chill haze reddish amber color with a small beige head. Flavor starts rich caramel sweet followed by nuts, a mild spicy bitterness and a light dry finish. Medium bodied and smooth with moderate carbonation.

Medium malty aroma. Hazy reddish apricot color with a vigorous tan/white head. Starts with a malty sweetness, there’s an interestingly unusual flavor component, then an earthy component. It’s not a typical amber. It’s really quite good. There’s a carob type of flavor in there. Decent mouthfeel.

Bottle via trade with stoutlover72. Pours a ruby amber color with a smallish beige head, some lacing. Aroma is caramel, brown sugar, floral hops. Flavor is toasted malt, nuts, sweet. Palate is medium bodied, medium carbonation, bitter finish. Really good. Drakes is rapidly moving up my faves list.

thanks to irishboy for this one! we actually used this beer to marinate our carne asada. it gave it a very nice taste. of amber color with some white head on it. the aftertaste was of spices. very nice tasting.
