6 oz bottle, via odeed I think. Pours a dark amber body with a few small floaties churning about. Small fizzy beige head that ran to a thin ring. The nose is a nice mixture of fruity dark malts, brandy and wood. Some light alcohol, and as it warmed, a great baked apple note came out. Slightly sweet baked apples lead off the flavor with a nice oaky dryness. Amazingly well hidden alcohol. This is just so packed with flavor, it doesn’t fall short anywhere. Big toffee and caramel maltiness with just a little bit of an aged character. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied, but not cloying or sticky at all. Perfect attenuation level. Perfect soft fizzy carbonation and just ever so slightly warming all the way down to the belly. Easily the best beer in this small series. This is the only one that I actually wished were a bigger sized bottle. The balance struck between the beer and the barrel with this one was just excellent.

Bottle thanks to Blutt59 @ Bu11zeye’s place. Pours a cloudy brown with off-white head. Aroma of apples and slight brandy.....Flavor has obvious brandy notes, some apple, wood, semi-sweet. Has light-medium body with med-high carbonation. Reminds me of a good winter brew, warming.....

Bottle thanks to Blutt59 via Bu11zeye. Pours a dark brown color with some faint almost burgundy highlights. Nose is boozy, apple jacks cereal, apples (red) and possible candied apples with a dash of winter spices. Taste is fruity and kind of like hairspray but not in a bad way...Some bitter dark fruits and a malty finish. Really complex and interesting.

Midget bottle thanks to Blutt59 via bu11zeye. Barrel aged series 3. Aroma has some funk, apple brandy, cinnamon and a touch of cumin (odd spice for a beer). Taste is cedar, some spices, carmel and a bit of harsh calvados. Syrupy mouthfeel light bubbles.

Bottle at After4ever’s tasting

Beautiful caramel color, very little head. Nice brandy-driven aroma. Lovely dry, woody flavor with brandy dancing along the palate. Warm mouthfeel, weakly sweet. Beautiful, beautiful beer.

Bottle (6oz) shared with HogTownHarry & garthicus -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a murky reddish-brown with a small lasting beige head. Aroma: Whoa, that’s something! Apple cider with brandy, tart fruit, wood and spices. Flavour’s oaky and malty along with some sourness, fruit and spices and an alcoholic finish. Not as complex as it could be. Medium bodied. Overall, I like it.
