The nose is quite nice, with a smooth brandy influence added to the whay resembles a bit of a sour ale with some tart cherries? The flavor is the same, with the strongest influence being the brandy. Not in a bad way, though. It’s quite smooth and easy drinking. Smooth on the palate followed by a dry, tannic, woody clean finish.

Pours a dark brown color with some faint almost burgundy highlights. Nose is boozy, apple jacks cereal, apples (red) and possible candied apples with a dash of winter spices. Taste is fruity and kind of like hairspray but not in a bad way...Some bitter dark fruits and a malty finish. Really complex and interesting. Aroma has some funk, apple brandy, cinnamon and a touch of cumin (odd spice for a beer). Taste is cedar, some spices, carmel and a bit of harsh calvados. Syrupy mouthfeel light bubbles.
