Commercial Description:
Josh & Brian have just kegged up our single batch of Autumn Fest, Drake’s Fall seasonal. An American version of a Fest-style Bier. Amber color, medium bodied, and a smooth flavor. This beer is the brother from another mother of the famous beers of Munich. Fest Beers are usually brewed in anticipation of an upcoming festival (Oktoberfest, Fall, or Autumn, Spring, etc...) We used a kolsch yeast (but it is not a kolsch-style beer) 18 IBU’s (relatively low). Spalt & Saaz Hops 5.75% abv

On tap at Toronado. This amber ale poured with a decent off-white head and and a sweet pine aroma. There is a carbonated nutty caramel malt flavor with a fair amount of hop bitterness.

Draft. Rich amber beer with an off-white head. Malt and hay aroma with some light grass and light mineral notes. malt and caramel flavor with light citrus and light grass. Medium body. refreshing. Malt and caramel lingers with light citrus and light grass.

Wow, guess they haven’t brewed this in a while til now! On Draft at Hamiltons. Pours amber with a faint copper hue, small beige head that left some light lacing. Nose was mostly toasted malts with some nutty qualities. Flavor was very roasty with a faint hop bitterness.

Nice deep copper pour with a lot of malt aroma. Flavor backs it up with nuts, caramel and bread all interwoven on a nice hop backbone. A good festbier.

Nice domestic Oktoberfest-style lager. Deep amber color, light aromas, mainly caramel. Outstanding body here, exquisite balance between being not quite creamy and not quite fizzy, just perfect. Bready, caramely flavors are understated. Could be consumed for many hours on end, I think, as is fitting per the style.
