Wonderful aromatic hempy, catty hoppy simcoe nose. Some orange citrus notes are present. Me oh my, I do like myself some simcoe. Wonderfully quaffable. Transparent orange body with an off-white head. Starts with an onslaught of simcoe hops. Catty, hempy goodness. Becomes sticky and chewy with perhaps some caramel in the body. Finishes with more hops with some moderate spiciness followed by more catty flavors late. One dimensional, but that dimension is damn fine. BillKismet (1956), Seattle, Washington, USA

But my buddy convinced me to order this last night (on tap: Toronado, SF). I must say it like it better than my go-to pale ale, Sierra Nevada, although perhaps it tastes it bit like an IPA to me. Would love to compare it side-by-side at home though. memmling (8), san francisco, California, USA does not count | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 6, 2007 found this guy to be a kinda flat-tasting experience overall. better than average pale ale but not stellar. i’ll give it a try another time after i’ve worked through some others. ratman197 (3262), Arvada, Colorado, USA
