| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 1, 2005 This is a decent, easy drinking brew! Pours a light golden in color with a big, thick head and lots of lacing. Aroma of sweet malt and slight grass. Light in flavor with some citrus and light and toasty, fairly sweet malt. Finish quickly with some citric hops lingering. Give me this over any american macro any day. If only they knew… Thanks Rodger, and good job! moejuck (1165), Ohio, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 23, 2006 Not a bad brew at all, the Drakes Blonde pours a light yellow color with a good head. I’m not a big fan of this style, but this brew was easier to drink than any other I’ve had in this category. The flavor doesn’t overpower, which is nice for this type of brew. The taste is some grassy flavors with a hint of citrus and a very slight spice finish. The mouthfeel is nice, maybe a bit too thin though. Drakes continues to impress me. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 8, 2006 From 12oz bottle, had a good taste with some small amount of bitterness and a light malt flavor. A good refreshing brew that should be rated slightly higher. aracauna (2387), Georgia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 14, 2004 This is surprisingly good, actually. Pours a full, but pale gold that catches the light and seems to glow on its own almost. The head is bright white and lingers. The aroma is light, mostly light noble hops. The flavor is bright and crisp, citrusy and straw malt flavors. The hops are very reminiscent of pilsner hops, as is the malt profile. This is light and chuggable but avoids being bland. The quintessential summer beer. nolankowal (850), Columbus, Ohio, USA

Pours a hazy yellow with a bone white head that all but dissapears after a minute or so. Spicy, bready aroma...good amount of yeast...some pepper, lemon zest, and clove. The flavor has some candied fruit, more lemon zest and pepper and a spice I can’t put my finger on. Light body over the tounge, though the flavors stick throughout...it never gets thin. The carbonation is nice, present but not overbearing...I could go with a bit more actually. The finish is earthy and dry..a great light offering. erway (1002), Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 22, 2006 Thanks to Milo2 for this: Pours a deep filtered bubbly golden with a pillowy white head. Aroma is bready-sweet malts, no hops and a touch of yeast fruitiness but it is restrained. The body is med.-light, somewhat sweet for the style with a lot of CO2. The flavor is again, bready malts and lots of it. If this is US 2-row then I am VERY impressed. A nice touch of honey in the flavor. Finish is not as crisp as I might like and could use a touch more in the way of bitterness, but this is damn fine. One I could drink a lot of. shadey (1500), Rochester, New York, USA

Head is a thin but attractive layer or white cream and lace. Aroma is muted but there is some citrus and dough. The flavor is much the same. This is a good clean beer with good flavor. Easy to drink.
