bb (2905), Martinez, California, USA Nov 13, 2007 Draft. Amber beer with a whitish head. Low citrus/earth aroma. Rich malty (a bit of darker malt) flavor with some slight earth and citrus. Mediumbody. Lingering caramel and earth/citrus. I’m just not digging the Bravos. AgentSteve (1334), SF Bay Area, California, USA Sep 7, 2007 Updated: Sep 17, 2007On tap @ Drake’s Brewery. Pours a nice amber. Nose of hops, taste of the same, along with a little caramel and sweet malt. This is your typical, solid IPA. Nothing too special, but I like IPA’s, so I am a fan. Good offering that I will have again. beerguy101 (3861), Newark, California, USA Aug 30, 2007 Tasted on tap at the 2nd Annual Drakes IPA Festival. This IPA pours a medium to light orange gold color. Small head. Aroma is earthy and floral. Medium body. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are floral and earthy. Some orange peel. Balanced more towards the hops. Touch more bitter than fruity. Touch of alcohol as well. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. Vac (2389), San Diego, California, USA Aug 29, 2007 On Tap @ Hamilton’s. Pours with a golden -amber body topped by a medium thick head with lots of lacing left on the glass. It’s slightly sweet to start then turns bitter with nice hoppy notes full of pine, a little pepper and some light grapefruit. Medium bodied, slightly oily with a dry finish. sblair (37), SD, California, USA Aug 24, 2007 On Tap Hamiltons. Good balance on this beer and a nice Hop character. This beer is brewed for their single hop festival and uses the bravo hop al the way thru. Pine and malt really play well and it has a nice body. Another great beer from Drakes
