Extra-hazy orange-brown color, aroma of banana, citrus, huge tangerine. Thick, chewy mouthfeel that leaves your tongue tingling for 10-15 seconds. Lots of pine, rye in the taste -- a massive beer bordering on affrontive. Don’t drink this warm unless you’re ready for some puckering. Fucking awesome. HopheadHans (755), Bay Area, California, USA

Pours wiht a copper color. Aromas are mainly hops with some caramel and toffee as well as dark fruit. Very hoppy with a long bitter finish but some malt sweetness to offset the massive hops. Very well balanced. Hides the alcohol really well, it was listed as 10%. kp (8396), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 2, 2007 Hand-bottle sampled on 7/2/06: Pours a transparent copper bronze with a thin-lacing, wispy white head. Aroma of sweet, grainy caramel malt and fresh green citrusy hops. Body starts with some lightly sweet pale maltiness turning more bitter and grapefruity floral hoppy toward a drier bittersweet finish. Doesn’t quite have the hop profile I like in a double IPA, but is still a pretty decent brew. realale420 (399), west covina, California, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 15, 2007 On tap poured copper in color with a nice off white head. The aroma was full of citrusy hops with some small caramel notes. The taste had some bitterness, but balanced well with the amount of alcohol. A nice treat to find, if you can find it.
