Commercial Description:
We leave the yeast in our authentic Bavarian-style wheat beer to give it a cloudy appearance and creamy texture. This spicy, fruity beer has hints of clove and banana and is crafted for easy drinking.

Sadly disappointing beer. Cloudy yellow pour with a surprisingly small head. Fruity, spicy, yeasty aroma with a flavor that does not deliver. Watery wheatiness destroys any bananas, clove or anything remotely resembling a Bavarian hefe. Sorry, Drake’s, they can’t all be winners.

Bottle courtesy of stoutlover72. Thanks Garrett! Murky gold. Small white head. Nose is spicy but very grainy and yeasty. Only lighter fruit notes and subtle bubblegummy aromas. Taste is grains/wheat, light bubblegum, yeast notes, dry malts, light clove, and only faint lemony notes. Body is light-medium with some strong carbonation notes. Finishes with more clove, yeast grains, and soft fruit.

On tap at Drake’s. This cloudy yellow beer poured with a thin white head. The flavor is yeasty and fruity, with hints of spice. This is a fairly good wheat beer.

12 oz. bottle via trade with IrishBoy - Pours a hazy straw color with a small white head. Aroma is yeast and light esters (banana). Flavor is light lemon and esters. Light to medium body. An easy drinking Hefe. I think its more like an American Hefe than a German. Still a good beer. Thanks Richard.

Body is a foggy orange gold with no head. Aroma is banana, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and almost a hint of barnyard (not sure if that’s just me). Taste is a heafty amount of wheat, some of the clove and nutmeg spicieness, but no banana really shows up in force, slightly yeasty.

Draft at Drake’s. Much better than the run of the mill American Hefeweizen. This beer has substance and is yeast forward so to speak. It also is nice to look at, with a hazy straw color. The aroma is of yeast and bread with a touch of banana. The flavor is of yeast and quite buttery, soapy in a good way. Very nice beer.
