Red Wax:Dark brown,looks black in the glass. Lightly carbonated but does form a nice,creamy,ring of head. I love the head,makes the appearance a 5,for me. Port,charred wood,alcohol,and chocolate in the aroma. Cask feel,very creamy,little carbonation,quite thick,but you can't tell. Starts with port and chocolate,lots of hot alcohol,along with roasty grain,wood. Finish is warm,vinous,and slightly sweet,and roasty. Actually,for me,the acidity balances the big,wine presence in this beer,and made it better than what I was expecting.Nice! Thanks Flipbrewer!

Oct 27, 2007 Sample courtesy of lunaticharness. Batch 1. Dark brown, light beige head. Huge aroma of chocolate and cherry, slight lacto. Flavor much the same, very vinous up front. Huge chocolate and roast through and through, slight sourness settimg in. Everything blends together quite nice.

Jun 9, 2007 Dark brown pour. Smells of alcohol and vanilla with a little vinous quality. Flavor is red grapes, brown sugar and alcohol. Medium body with lots of alcohol warming.
