This beer was practically orgasmic! Out of the tap at Drake’s this Friday night’s "Tasting" event. This was a Triple IPA, that the brewmaster, who had quit this month, put together. The manager at Drake’s told me that he used several different batch - end hops. The hoppiness and maltiness were in perfect balance. Color was mahogany with a fluffy head, aroma was perfect blend of hops, sweet malt, and caramel, with a touch of pine. The alcohol % was well hidden, and it was one of those beers that you taste and just know you are drinking something special. Reminded me a bit of 3Floyds Dreadnaught. If you are in the SF Bay Area, find a pub that has this on tap. You won’t be disappointed! Wish I could have again.
Re-rate, opened a growler from Friday, it was even better than I remembered! One of the best beers I have ever had.

Sep 21, 2008 Bottle shared with AlohaC at toncatcher’s tasting. Lots of citrus and pine characters, but all blended with lots of malty sweet yumminess. I liked this one. Very tasty.

Aug 18, 2008 RBSG ’08: Poured a hazedamber color with an off-white head. Hop forward aroma with citrus notes on a caramel base. Malt start to the flavor with citrus hops running down the center. Medium bodied and warming.

Aug 3, 2008 Tasted from bottle at RBSG. Amber color. Bubble gum aroma. Sweetish. A bit of age on it I think. Pretty nice.

Aug 3, 2008 Bottle @ RBSG grand tasting Pours orange with an off white head. Taste is tart and sweet. Taste is sweet and nice and good wtih some nice belgian yeast.
