AgentSteve (929), SF Bay Area, California, USA Jul 3, 2008 On tap @ City Beer, pours a hazy gold with off white head. The nose is bready but faint. The flavor is quite nice for the style, with biscuit breadness and some decent hops. Light, refreshing and very drinkable.
kmweaver (2273), Nicaragua Nov 27, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours a slightly hazy, whitish-golden color; thin white head with patchy lacing. Lots of overt cereal (huge amounts of cereal), toasty malts, and white grape notes in the aroma; lacking some needed crispness. Medium mouthfeel: following the aroma, there’s a lot of cereal and overripe fruit character present here; lemons, light acidity, and slightly sweeter than needed at the core; decent pilsner, but not one of the best renditions available. Lengthy finish: mineral bitterness finally appears more prominently, alongside fruits and a lasting dry toastiness. rkuhnel (1199), Eureka, California, USA Aug 27, 2008 Got a six pack of this at the North Coast Coop in Arcata, CA. Hazy yellow with a white head. Nose of light malts and some citrus hops. Light but smooth mouthfeel. Flavor is classic pils, but is just a little milder than I like, but it is easy to drink. This one may have been too cold. We will see what the next bottle rate like a little warmer. marcus (1119), Sacramento, California, USA Jul 25, 2008 This cloudy yellow beer poured with a thin white head. There is a sound malt base with some carbonation and an acidic mouth feel. Nicely hopped. mmmbeer (603), Austin, Texas, USA May 18, 2008 12 oz. bottle in trade from stoutlover72. Into the footed pilsner it went- poured slightly cloudy orange-yellow, thin white head bubbled and went away, slight lacing, low carbonation. Aroma of a heavy wheat malt, honey, and young green pears. Hits the mouth with a thin defined body, malt is very easy to find and enjoyable, some extremely soft notes of sugar and spice in the middle, finish is crisp and clean. WOW- too bad I don’t have this stuff locally or else it a case would be in my frig on a regular basis to deal with the 3 months of Texas hell heat. Recommended for the style.
