fly (1252), austin, Tejas, USA Aug 25, 2005 Nice looking, fairly unassming, but I don’t assume or presume to like brown ales much and the lean to being too sweet did nothing to win me over. grat (433), ST. Louis, Missouri, USA Jun 23, 2004 This used to be a decent brew. The last time I had it though i wanted to barf! EVERYWHERE!! On nitrogen in a weizen glass. Look lovely. Deep brown. Looks like really thick beef stock...ohh wait it even smells like really thick beef stock....no it couldn’t be it tastes like really thick beef stock as well. Gross. Strangely salty on the uptake and disgustingly so going down. Not a good brew as of late.
grat dins (267), Texas, USA Dec 11, 2002 Brown ale, nothing really wrong nor right here. Nuffield (2555), Roseville, Minnesota, USA Nov 30, 2002 Creamy but a complete lack of flavor. Red appearance, nice head. Overall very very forgetable. My brother-in-law didn’t drink the half of it. Andrew196 (1089), Anaheim Hills, California, USA Oct 3, 2002 A lot better the second time I had it. Still nothing spectacular though. Caramel-chocolate aroma, medium bodied taste, clean malty finish.
