VEry dark beer. Khaki head. No lacing. Dissipates. NOse is acrid bitterness at first. A roasted cauldron of dark malts. This shifts into a green licorice-like aroma. Coffee lingers, just ground on the back end. Flavors are reversed though. Coffee Hits first and is utterly pronounced. Then a malt richness. Excellent depth to the flavors. Dried apricot, licorice, roasted apples. Malty sweetness on the back end. Excellent beer. Detraction for thin body however. Slightly too carbonated and thin. Otherwise a masterpiece.

Pours a black body and a little tan head. Smells of chocolate and coffee. Nice coffee and burnt vanilla flavor. Quite drinkable. Overall, another good brew for the style from the Draught House!

Draught at brewpub. Nose is strong fresh-roasted coffee, robust and invigorating. Deep black beer with a beige head. Flavor is a bit one-dimensional but satisfies the aim of the style. Thick enough to warrant such a robust flavor. Finishes with a mild acidity. Quite good.

Big dark black pour with a very small tan head. Coffee bean roastiness is very evident in the aroma and lets you know what the beer is all about right away, without being too excessive. Rich, biting, slightly acidic fresh coffee flavor. Well bittered, and strongly flavored of coffee, the way I tend to enjoy my coffee beers. Slightly full mouthfeel but with a bubbly carbonation makes for a nice mouthfeel. This is a very nice coffee beer.

Pours a muddy brown with a dark tan head and good lacing. Great coffee/roast nose. Coffee up front with hints of chocolate in the flavor. The coffee is not overdone like some other coffee beers I have had in the past. The finish is nice and dry. Very nice beer.

Pour is murky brownish black with a big bubbled and fast fadining into nothing brown head...smell is excellent...coffee and roasty with subtle cocoa hints sneaking out as it warms...taste is initially nice dry roasty coffee with again, that cocoa sneaking in toward the finish only to be followed up by the coffee coming back and bittering...quite tasty...
