grat (433), ST. Louis, Missouri, USA Jul 16, 2004 This is an excellently subtle brew. What a stout. Very interesting rich chocolate in color. Head looks like milk chocolate smoothie. Smells dry, fruity and slightly chemically. Apricots really come through in the nose. It is overwhelming. However there is a slight chemically bouquet on the nose. Brew itself tastes very apricoty. Deep rich dark malts, nitrogen and dried apricots and cherries. Exquisite.
G-rat Billyaustin (28), Austin, Texas, USA Feb 22, 2003 I'm alway's taken by surprise with brewpubs. Something with the name HammerHead just sounds like an attempt to cover a bad taste with a cool name.....BUT...I loved it! Fruity, Dark, and Smooth. starts off realy fruity, then gets more rounded towards the bottom. A good change of pace. nstal (237), Houston, Texas, USA Jul 22, 2002 Unremarkable stout, very typical. Not a whole lot of flavor. Andrew196 (1089), Anaheim Hills, California, USA Apr 16, 2002 Not bad, but nothing special. Picture a Guiness with less gravity.
