[2617-20091129] 650mL bottle. Sweet pineapple lemon citrus fruit aroma. Hazy, pale tan yellow body with quick foamy white bubbles. Bitter fruit pineapple hops flavour has some lemon pips. Light-medium body. Not bad, a little strange though.

2009-11-29. Hazy pale yellow looks like lemon juice, small white head fades. Aroma of lemon and spice, coriander is quite strong, and a bit too spicy for my liking. 6+ Flavour is similar with a lot of coriander, lemon peel, mild wheat throughout. 6+ Average palate. Okay, spice is not to my tastes. Bottle shared by Sammy at Volo, Toronto

Bottle shared with Craig at Bar Volo. Fairly regular witbeer. Yes refreshing citrus, but also on the slightly tin side. A little bitter and sour. Pours hazy white, with a Caesar head. High carbonation. Drinkability OK, it was a palate cleanser.

Bottle. Citrus aroma. Hazy yellow, low head. Fresh citric entry, good chewyness, sparkly mouthfeel, light perfumed retronasal. Unobstrusive in a good way - not too perfumed and sticky like many other wits tend to become. Moreish.

Pours out a nice hazy white gold... kinda like what would happen if you squirted a ton of lemon into a glass of water.. A TON. Thin white cap but excellent ropy lacing slowly slides back into my glass. Tons of wheat that is right in my face, lemon, coriander, steak spice, orange.. damn fine solid aroma. Zippy spice first off for taste, wheat, very light by obvious bitterness, more spice, Contact C. Creamy carbonation - a bunch of it and it’s perfect. Smooth orangy coriander finish that is very fresh. Wonderful beer!

Pale yellow. Fluffy thick white head. Thick aroma that actually makes me want to taste the beer! Wheat, yeast and coriander. Soft lemon/banana with a steady table paper edge.

From Brewery Creek. My first beer from this new-ish brewery (Driftwood), and I’m impressed. The head was a fluffy, two-fingered creation over a body of clear, light gold. The aroma was weak at first, but as things progressed, the orange peel appeared, and nicely so. Taste was enjoyable, again with the orange peel underpinned by the coriander (I’ll have to check out the wife’s spice cabinet to get more acquainted with coriander on its’ own). Solid mouthfeel and a pleasing, faintly sweet finish. I’ll have this one again; hope it gets wider distribution.

650 ml Bottle. Cloudy like most Witbiers. This beer has a big grapefruit taste. Spices are also clearly present. I found this more flavourful than the average Witbier. Great debut for Driftwood! Thanks to Mark for the bottle!
