Mes_and_Sim (3927), London, Greater London, England May 12, 2008 A Mes rate: Bottle at the Waterhuis.Cloudy blonde with a decent white head. Yeasty, spicy Belgian nose. Standard Belgian stuff but I really like the yeasty sour notes. Pleasing on the palate. Not bad over all.
BonVoeux (40), Beveren-Leie, Belgium Aug 18, 2007 33 cl bottle. Golden to amber colour, white head. Aroma hops, malts, some spice ? Med bodied. Flavour yeast, a bit sweet, lovely bitterness. finish is bitter..
Great. Bart (1214), Vosselaar, Belgium Aug 13, 2007 Darker blond coloured beer with an average white head and a lot of carbonation. Herby, somewhat malty aroma. Full body. Finish is bitter, and again herby, slightly alcoholic but nothing surprising. Average one. sayravai (2993), Helsinki, Finland Jul 21, 2007 (Bottled) Hazy golden with a medium, quite firm, lacy head. Aroma of apple-pearish fruit and some pale malts. Sharply apple-fruity flavor with some spiciness and toffee-caramely – almost sugary – malt. Yeast cuts the fruity sharpness and brings in some yeasty, papery ashiness. Light to medium-bodied, slightly thin palate with a bit high and foamy carbonation. Drinkable and not even that bad, but drowns in the sea of the thousand average Belgian ales. Jerre (1268), Waregem, Belgium Oct 29, 2006 Bottle, 33 cl. Dark golden, hazy body. White, creamy head. Aroma of flowers with hints of caramel. Lightly sweet, medium bitter. A little bitter finish. Medium bodied. Good beer.
