BlackForestCO (549), Fort Collins and Black Forest, Colorado, USA Jun 15, 2008 Growler shared by dauss from BA. Poured a hazy yellow color with a moderate white head that faded to a layer. Strong corn aroma with some grainy malt. Modereately smooth, lightly fruity entry leads into a corny, grainy flavor that lingers into the finish. Smooth, and could be easy-drinking if not for the distracting corn flavor.
Crosling (1660), Loveland, Colorado, USA Jun 14, 2008 1/2 Gallon Growler. Straw colored light yellow/orange color with a thin, quickly diminishing head. Pretty vibrant clean smelling nose with some fruitiness and light malts. Flavor is well balanced with some sweet fruits and a soft maltiness. It’s a well made Kolsch.
