tcruicks (282), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Oct 30, 2006 I was not a huge fan. It is orange in color with almost no head- some lacing. Smells like caramel, malt, hops, a bit sweet. More of a fruity hoppy flavor, watery, slight bitter finish. sunevdj (1765), Copenhagen OE, Denmark Oct 19, 2006 Pours a clear amber with a white head. Smells of hops and caramel. Medium sour and strongish hops notes. Caramel flavors that kicks in a bit later. Medium bodied but still kinda watery. Dry finish with some caramel and hops notes. hepburn82 (141), Scotland Oct 19, 2006 Pours a nice reddy copper colour. No head and no lacing (bad bottle?). Aroma gives lot sof toffee malt, some hop and a smidgen of smoke and cheese. Flavour is a little cloying , but has depth with some nice hoppiness. Finishes thin and watery with some unpleasant bitterness. Distinctly average. If you want a recommendation for a nicer organic , try black isle beer. voota (761), Melbourne, Australia Oct 14, 2006 Nice clear red/copper with a medium sized white head. Good lacing. Aroma is a little earthy, with some toffee and fruit in the background. Very spritzy carbonation and medium bitter. Full body, with more earthy flavours and sweet toffee too. Slightly harsh bitter finish.
EithCubes (2140), Indiana, USA Oct 12, 2006 Bottle. Sweet and malty aroma with slight hops, a little apple juice, and citrus. Golden pour with a rocky creamy beige head. Light bitterness with the aforementioned flavor notes, weak caramel, a little pilsnery. Grassy and grainy. Watery. Bitter aftertaste. greenmanalishi (296), Leicestershire, England Sep 16, 2006 light ruby colour, minimal head. Sweet caramel tastes dominate, some fruitiness. Just misses it overall though Pigfoot (2226), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Sep 11, 2006 Clear, light amber color...ample froth atop...
Aroma: a creamy thing, light, yeasty, zesty, a bit of bready malt...
Taste: sweetish, fruitish, a spank of hops, nicely bitter, juicy, tasty, yum...Medium bodied, sufficient malt, a touch of caramel there, very much delicious.
Here’s an organic ale I can stand up and salute. Very tasty, not just noble, but well worth the drinking. If you want to go organic, here’s the perfect place.
Mmmmm.... Fin (3382), Merton, Oxfordshire, England Sep 11, 2006 Updated: Apr 2, 2007Bottle, drank at a friends but this is easily available in Sainsburys and other well known supermarket retailers. Copper coloured with a fruity and malty aroma, some caramel and nuttiness in the taste, bitterness is there but more subdued than some of the other Wychwood beers, overvall a nice beer.
