aroma is dominatd by bitterhops , caramel and toffee. faint smoke or burned plastic. not very appetizing.
flavor is caramelly, herbal, bitterhoppy, faint sawdust. much better than aroma, a little too bittersweet for my taste though. shrubber85 (2934), Wallhalben, Germany

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 30, 2006 Sample at AleFest Dayton: This beer is a pale clear amber color with a medium off-white head with decent retention. Thin, spotty lacing. Bready malt aroma. Medium-bodied with earthy, slightly stale malt flavor, along with some caramel. The finish is malty and metallic, with a sweet aftertaste. Not very enjoyable. | 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Dec 26, 2006 Very cloudy orange brown with a creamy long-lasting medium tan head. Aroma of buttery caramel. Oups, I’m in trouble. Diacetyl? Taste of buttery pop-corn and unpleasant caramel. Yep this one is ruined. The best-before is two months ago. It’s impossible that a beer can be so god awful just two months after the best-before date. Unacceptable. Dutchy Organic Ale… I guess putrefaction is organic… DougShoemaker (2856), Toronto, Canada

Fresh hops taste, then a really fine malt underpinning. Medium bodied, well balanced, fresh, very hoppy mouthfeel. A fine one! Rune (2842), Tromsø, Norway
