Pours a cloudy orange red body, dark. Foamy whitish colored head, diminishing. Sweet fruit aroma. Very dusty musty English smelling aroma. Watery, not carbonated honey taste. Sweet tasting but not sickly palate, or taste. Very English tasting. NJBeerman013 (776), Trenton, New Jersey, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 21, 2008 Bottle. Pours a golden amber mahogany in color with a pure white head. It has a clean, fresh, tangy hop aroma with a slight citrus touch. It has a rich, full, malty flavor with a ripe, fruity citrus note. It has a medium mouthfeel with a clean, refreshing finish. voota (761), Melbourne, Australia

Aroma is a little earthy, with some toffee and fruit in the background. Very spritzy carbonation and medium bitter. Full body, with more earthy flavours and sweet toffee too. Slightly harsh bitter finish.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 23, 2007 Bottle from LCBO. I will grab an armload of this while it is still so wonderfully fresh.
The hops - or something - remind me a little of the slightly ’wild’ flavour of Algonquin Country Lager from many years ago. Just a very fresh natural tasting Ale with a good infusion of expressive character hops. Slipstream (757), USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Mar 17, 2008 A half liter with a classy label - it looks like a wine bottle. They say that profits are donated to the Prince of Wales Foundation. The aroma is pleasantly sweet malt and yeast. The amber-colored brew is fizzy without much lace. Enjoyably mild taste - gently hopped with noticable yeast. I wanted to pick a good one for my 200th rating, but nothing really stands out (or offends) here. This ale would be nice with lunch on a warm day. oteyj (757), Canterbury, New Hampshire, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 12, 2008 Murky brown pour with one finger white head. Aroma is of sweet caramel malt, toasty biscuit, and grassy hops. Flavor is sweet with caramel with a bit of acidity. Hop bitterness is present, but barely. Palate is smooth, but horribly thin. Carbonation is minimal. Nothing special here... madquacker (718), Canberra ACT, Australia

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 17, 2007 500 mL bottle. Lovely copper colour with nice head. Pleasant aroma of sweet malt, balanced by a hoppy tanginess. Tastes very . . . fresh. Again, nice malt/hops balance. You need to let it warm up a bit to get the full effect of the malt. Caramel sweetness comes through just before the finish. Nice bitter (and slightly metallic) finish. More heavily carbonated than some other premium bitters. Not bad, and bonus points for being organic.
