Nice reddish-bronze pour but a bit cloudier than I imagined it would be. It even sounded nice pouring into the glass. Pleasing aroma of barley and hops. Heavy mouthfeel. Delightfully mild, refreshing taste with a hint of citrus but not overpowering at all. It is probably the best brew from Wychwood that I’ve been able to sample and I would definitely buy it again. | 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Jul 13, 2009 Started well, as I was impressed with the classy label as well as with the clear and sparkling copper body underneath a frothy, off-white head. Then things took an unfortunate downturn, beginning with what I can only describe as an "odd" nose, I just cannot place what this smelled like. Then it got worse. Mouthfeel was rather sharp and the taste was quite sour, with a finish that was no better. Perhaps this was just a rogue bottle, as I’ve not had any similar experience with a Wychwood. Be that as it may, I found this to be a rather unpleasant beer. Sorry. DownsouthGav (601), Greater London, England

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 26, 2006 The bottle poured a clear ruby-amber colored beverage with a small creamy white head that was mostly lasting and left good lacing on the glass. The aroma held a predominance of bubble gum and rock candy with notes of grass and malt in the background. The body was medium to thin with smooth carbonation and a thin, dry texture. The flavor starts off somewhat sweet but this quickly turns to a nice bitterness which lasts throughout the long, somewhat dry finish. Diogène (577), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada

Pour a brownish golden with a white head and a spicy, hoppy aroma with notes of wet grass. The tast is spicy and hoppy with notes of oranges, other citrus fruits, sweet malts, sweet grains, old hay and herbs.
