Apr 5, 2004 Much better than other brews from Wychwood. Malty and fruity aroma. Malty and fruity sweetish flavour with some bitterness in the finish.

Sep 28, 2003 Light hoppy nose with floral hints. Glowing deep reddish hue with a small white head. Bitter hop and toffee taste. Standard ale but good.

Aug 18, 2003 A bottle purchased from the a small table that Wychwood put up at the Charlbury Beer Festival, a local 17-beer town hall event; brought back to Texas and shared. Bright gold with big head, only a thin head retained. Decent hop aroma, not revealing the presence of some dirtier flavors, musty and malty. Smooth palate. Above average, and compliments to Prince Charles for driving the organic line, although that angle is not something that drives most beer drinkers, I think. I agree with Duff that this beer doesn't escape from the overall mediocrity of composition that Wychwood gives most of its beers.

Aug 6, 2006 Cloudy straw pour with impressive lacing - bright, fruity aroma, withg copious fresh hops (the hops almost smell american or german, as opposed to the stale hop smell I’m used to in a lot of british ales) - dry, hoppy bitterness up front - followed by a strong citrus and apple flavor - then slight bready malts round things out - the flavor is there, but overall it’s a bit thin and "flat" in a way I’ve experienced with a lot of other organic ales - it’s not something that can really be described, but once you’ve had enough organic beer, you notice it right away.

Aug 15, 2003 Bottled.Judging by Duff's last few beers he's clearly been on the Waitrose run. This beer is a exclusive Waitrose (a better London supermarket chain). Golden brown, malty and sweet it in keeping with the Wychwood style. It's brewed from Prince Charles' not-for-profit Dutchy label.

Apr 21, 2007 Nice amber body with good carbonation and an average off-white foamy head. Decent malty/hoppy aroma with fresh herbal/grassy notes. Fresh hoppy taste that carries malty and nutty hints. It ends with a good bitter finish. Good average ESB.

Oct 14, 2006 Nice clear red/copper with a medium sized white head. Good lacing. Aroma is a little earthy, with some toffee and fruit in the background. Very spritzy carbonation and medium bitter. Full body, with more earthy flavours and sweet toffee too. Slightly harsh bitter finish.
