Aromas are floral hops and spice with some nutty malts - quite light. Flavours are more malty with caramel and some roast character. Dry and bitter. Quite warming on the finish despite its alcohol content. Slightly thin on the palate, if there was a cask version it would be quite nice. jazz88 (2237), San Francisco, California, USA

A hazed reddish orange color (a/ka/ murkey amber) with a quickly laced white bubley head. Malty, caramel, bright hops, flowers, with an earthy base. Wet on the palate with an organic grain like finish. jaymobrown (1355), Chicago, Illinois, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 11, 2009 Kind of a muddy copper pour with some head. Flavor is sweet and carmelly with some grassiness. A bit of fruit, some hops, some caramel in the flavor. Ale with decent hop flavor here, pretty nice flavor. JCastner (102), New York, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 17, 2009 Pours a deep amber with almost no head. Aroma of plums and English hops. Taste is the same with sweet malt and understated bitterness. While not one of my favorite ESBs, it’s a pleasant session beer nonetheless. Blasphemies (45), Ontario, Canada
